Anatomy
Human Anatomy is the scientific study of structural organization of the human body including its development. ‘Anatomy’ is considered to be one of the basic subjects in the medical field.
The Department of Anatomy is located in the Ground floor of the College building. The department is well equipped with modern infrastructure and dedicated faculty to teach and train the students in a professional way. It includes Dissection Hall, Histology Laboratory, Research Lab, Museum and Demonstration rooms, well equipped with Audio-visual teaching aids like Microscopes (uniocular, Binocular and dissection microscopes) microscope with T.V. monitor, overhead projectors, computers, printers, L.C.D projector.
The Dissection Hall is attached with the embalming room, cadaver storage tank, cold storage and workshop.
There is a well-organized, spacious progressive Museum for display as well as for study purposes. The museum exhibits various types of anatomical and embryological specimens, coloured bones, models, all are provided with a descriptive catalogue.
There is a separate Department Library with requisite number of volumes to cover the various branches of anatomy Two demonstration rooms are also available for conducting demonstration classes in smaller batches.
